Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been Phi Mu’s national philanthropic partner since 1986. “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” The first line of Phi Mu’s Creed has been a call to serve others since it was written more than 100 years ago. From our earliest days of supporting a health mobile that delivered health care to women and children in rural areas to supporting toy carts for children in hospitals to our current partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu has long been committed to lending a helping hand to those in need.
We are proud to be the only sorority to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum. We were also the first sorority to establish a National Philanthropy Day more than 20 years ago. Lending a helping hand is at the heart of who we are as Phi Mus.

Our PhilanthropyThe women of the Lambda Zeta Chapter of Phi Mu are dedicated to serving others and making a meaningful impact within our community. Through our national partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, we proudly support Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Upstate in Greenville, South Carolina, helping provide life-changing care for children and their families.One of our signature philanthropy events is Mr. Phi Mu, an annual pageant hosted in partnership with Alpha Sigma Phi. This campus favorite brings students together for a fun and meaningful evening while raising funds and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The event has become a cherished tradition and exemplifies the power of collaboration, service, and community.We also host our annual Tea Party, creating opportunities for fellowship, generosity, and engagement with our mission. Through these events and many other fundraising efforts, our sisters work year-round to support children in the Upstate and live out Phi Mu’s commitment to serving others.At Lambda Zeta, philanthropy is more than a fundraiser—it’s a way of life.
